The Nora Ephron film and one of the most critically acclaimed movies of the past year Julie & Julia is on sale as a pre-order from Amazon.com for $9.99. This screenplay is based on the book by the same title written by Julie Powell, where she challenges herself to work her way through Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking (2 Volume Set) in one year, and to blog about it. The movie however is first and foremost a salute to the person of Julia Child, and how unique she was for her time. Meryl Streep offers a performance as Julia Child that makes it hard to picture any other actress being qualified to do the role justice. While the DVD is $9.99 shipped, Non Amazon Prime members will have to spend a minimum of $25 at Amazon.com to qualify for free shipping.
